Marcello Farina was born in Treviglio, Italy,
in 1978.
Since December 2014 he is Associate Professor at Politecnico
di Milano.
He received the Master degree in Electronic Engineering in 2003 from the
Politecnico di Milano. He has worked (December
2003-March 2004) at the Italian metrological primary Institute Istituto Nazionale Ricerche in Metrologia
(former Istituto Nazionale Galileo
Ferraris), Turin (Italy). He has been visiting scholar (March 2005-February
2006, as Marie Curie fellow) at the Institute for Systems Theory and Automatic
Control (IST), University of Stuttgart, Germany, under the supervision of Prof.
Frank Allgoewer. He obtained the Ph.D. in Information
Engineering in 2007.
Marcello Farina is Marie Curie fellow.

o In 2017 he has been awarded with the Italian FARB Finanziamento delle attivitą base di Ricerca,

o Principal Investigator of the project BUDD-e: Blind assistive aUtonomous Droid Device, awarded the Polisocial
Award 2021 funding.
